The first thing Jews experienced was separation into groups. Gender, age, strength and health were all criteria. Those who were deemed unfit for hard labor in the concentration camp were immediately sent to be killed. This included the very young, elderly, and mentally challenged.
Victims were made to strip down naked, be "sanitized", and live in barracks that were filthy and overcrowded. In addition to being overworked, they would regularly experience beatings, starvation, and hideous psychological abuse.
Many were also subjected to medical experiments such as tests to alter eye color, and forced sterilization.

2006 documentary about Holocaust survivor Eva Kor who suffered through experiments by Dr. Mengele with her twin sister
No matter how long you research the Holocaust, it never feels less disgusting and gruesome. I think that it is very admirable of Eva Kor to take on the forgiveness of those who hurt her so much, but I could never do something like that. The strength and resiliency of the human spirit is inspiring.
